A sales ban ordered on Samsung’s Galaxy Nexus smartphone in the United States has been temporarily lifted, Bloomberg
reports. Samsung’s request of a stay on the ban was approved by U.S.
District Court Judge Lucy Koh, but the temporary lift will only last
until Apple provides the judge with new information she has requested,
which is due by July 12th. By then, however, it shouldn’t matter —
Google confirmed that a
software patch will be issued next week to address the universal search
technology Samsung’s smartphone was found to be infringing. Earlier on Friday, Samsung’s request to stay a sales ban on its Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet was rejected.
