ZTE Tania for the US?

While February 2012 saw the release of the ZTE Tania in the UK as the first Windows Phone-powered handset from ZTE, it seems that the ZTE Tania, too, will be making a belated entry to the US in due time. CNET did have a little chit chat time with Lixin Cheng, President of ZTE North America, and the latter mentioned that the ZTE Tania will be making its way across the pond before 2012 is over. Now, we are nearly halfway through the year, and not to have a more concrete date is certainly unsettling for those who like to have everything laid out in advance for them, as it might be deemed as obsolete in terms of features by the time it arrives in the market.
No idea either, on which US mobile carrier will put up the handset on their list of smartphones. Bear in mind that even if the ZTE Tania were to be released at this moment, it is not going to burn up any performance benchmarks, as it comes with a 4.3″ WVGA display, Wi-Fi and HSDPA connectivity, GPS support, a 5-megapixel camera at the back, a 1GHz single-core processor, 512MB RAM and 4GB of internal storage space. As for pricing details, we can only make an educated guess. If it costs £200 unlocked in the UK, then it might be priced at approximately $320 thereabouts here.
